Trauma and Healing in Katherina Vermett'e The Break
Abstract
An analysis on the characters presented in Vermette's novel focusing on assimilation, hybridity and failed coping mechanisms. I also address intentional hardening of exterior personas and inability to deal with generational traumas and sexual assualts.
