Pedagogical Inquiry and Practice (PIP) is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) in Canadian post-secondary education. Following the success of our inaugural issue, we invite submissions for our second issue, to be published in Spring/Summer 2026. We welcome contributions that address the diverse and creative ways post-secondary educators inquire into, reflect on, and transform teaching and learning. SoTL work is grounded in disciplinary contexts, so we value contributions that situate inquiry, reflection, and descriptions across the disciplines. SoTL’s interdisciplinarity is at the core of how we communicate insights about teaching and learning, so we encourage submissions that recognize the diversity of the higher education audience. We invite submissions across the following themes:

Theories and Methods
• Educational Theory and Practice: Applications of educational theories to enhance teaching and learning
• Pedagogical Strategies: Investigations into innovative and effective approaches to teaching
• Interdisciplinary Pedagogy: Teaching approaches that integrate and bridge multiple disciplines
• Inclusive Education: Strategies and practices that foster equity, diversity, and belonging in learning environments
Student Experience
• Student Engagement: Research on motivation, participation, and student partnership in learning
Design and Environments
• Technology and Learning: Analyses of digital and physical tools shaping educational practice
• Curriculum and Course Design: Studies on post-secondary curriculum development, implementation, and renewal
• Learning Environments: Explorations of the role of space, place, and context in shaping learning experiences
Assessment and Impact
•Assessment and Evaluation: Research on assessment practices and their influence on student learning outcomes
